Hi, I’m Derek, the creator of EasyKnitCalc!
I’ve always enjoyed both math and knitting, especially the satisfaction of following clear steps and ending up with something wearable. I’m also drawn to how a garment’s construction works at the most basic level. I love how math, and a gauge swatch, can help you make knitwear that ends up exactly the way you want it to.
I originally built the calculations that are integrated in the coding of EasyKnitCalc for my own projects, but then thought: Why not find a way to easily share these calculations with others who might find it just as useful to make simple and customizable garments?
EasyKnitCalc began with the Raglan Sweater Calculator. It’s a tool that helps you shape a classic raglan sweater with precise measurements for each part.
