Create custom sleeve‑tapering instructions based on your exact measurements and gauge. Use it for a smooth, classic taper or divide your shaping into sections for more control. You can also design expressive silhouettes—like lantern sleeves, balloon sleeves, puffed sleeves, bell sleeves, etc. Here are some examples of how to style a sleeve: Common Sleeve Types & Shaping Guide
To use the calculator, enter the starting circumference and ending circumference of the first (or only) section, and the length between them. Add additional sections by inputting the next end circumference and length, if you want the sleeve to change shape further up or down the arm. The instructions will tell you the required increases or decreases and the spacing. If knitting flat, the calculator will place the shaping on every second row so it aligns with RS rows. You can generate instructions for bottom‑up or top‑down sleeves, then finish with a cuff at the appropriate end.
